project life with domestic bliss...

Hi again :) I have been documenting the first part of  February using the fun Domestic Bliss collection from Simple Stories. I love how versatile this range is and the colours made even the most simple photos look more fun.

Giving some of my cards a lift with simple hand stitching and using the printed designs to help tell the story... you can find more details over on the Sassy Scrappers blog

Focusing on the 'domestic' side of life for the second lot of pages. My post on the Sassy blog talks about how this collection helped me to document the photos that might have been over looked even though they also make up a large part of our lives.

Keeping things simple with stickers and enamel dots helped to speed up the documenting process
and using memorabilia was and easy way to create a place for extra photos.

Hello April, and hello to a new fun new challenge from Kraft Plus Challenges

This month's theme is 'Swatch It Up' and the criteria is Kraft + Paint Swatches.

I had a totally different idea in mind when I started this challenge, but after picking up some paint swatches from my local Bunnings store I realised that the colours I picked were all too bright for my original paper selection whihc forced me to start over - but in the end I am happy I did because I really love how these bright colours pop against the Kraft background.

I used a large yellow paint swatch with my layers, and die cut several heart shapes to use as embellishments across the page.

To keep the paint theme going I gave my background a layer of gesso, and used a bright paint stroke acetate from Illustrated Faith backed with simple white cardstock which I splattered black paint onto.

Be sure to check out all of the fabulous inspiration from all of the team, as well as lots of great projects from our guest designers over on the blog, and don't forget to upload your layouts by the end of the month for a chance to win some of the awesome prizes up for grabs!
Thanks for stopping by xx
