project life week 15...

Hi again :) I have another layout to share using the sold out Whimsy Pocket Life kit from Scrappy Canary.

I added some soft water colour detail to a few of the cards, along with my trusted gold stitched detail and super cute gold rub-ons from the Pinkfresh Studio Up in the Clouds collection from the store.

I don't think I can ever tire of gold foil and the detail in these cards is simply beautiful, and I couldn't resist adding even more gold using these gorgeous puffy stickers from the Pinkfresh Studio Up in the Clouds collection.

Brand new kits as well as lots of other new goodies are now available in the Scrappy Canary store, and don't forget to use the code 'AGNUS10' at the checkout to save 10% off your total!

going back to my 2014 album...

Although this year's album is very up to date, I still have a lot of blank spaces to fill in my 2014 album and am trying to work my way through these which is why I went all the way back to October to create a layout for the PLJunkies blog.

I faced a few challenges when working out how to put these pages together -  the first being that I didn't really have enough photos to fill a double spread using my weekly format and the second being that there are no people featured in any of the photos I had from this time.

To tackle the issue of not having enough photos I simply condensed what I had and documented two separate weeks onto one spread. I made the pages flow together by repeating the same colours and elements across both pages using a mix of Simple Stories goodies that was featured in the first kit from the PLJunkies Kit Club and I really liked the way the red, blue, green and yellow combo worked with my random mix of photos.

The lack of people featured in the photos, which usually help to determine the mood of the pics, didn't meant that the events from this week should not be documented. I used a mix of little word tags and embellishments to set the mood in each of the photos, while also helping to visually tie all the pockets in together across both pages.

Journaling onto vellum and adding a few embellies directly over one of the photos helped to set the tone for the weather photos, and adding memorabilia such as a simple business card also helped to establish what was happening in the photo.

Hi again :) I'm back with a double share using the gorgeous Hello Darling Daily Diary Kit from NoelMignon.com.

The team went with an 'April showers bring may flowers' theme for this week, where we incorporated drips and splatters using a variety of mediums on our pages.

I used some lovely gold colour mist to add my drips onto several of the cards and although I rarely use flowers on my pages, I couldn't resist adding one of these cute fabric blossoms to tie in with our theme.

As always, you can find more info on my original post over on the Noel Mignon blog.

I also created an insert to document Easter which I shared here, using one of my favourite techniques of creating custom journal and filler cards for my pockets by altering the cards in the kit.

I went with a soft wood grain look and love the way it worked with all my Easter pics. I went through all the details of how I put these cards together in my original post so be sure to check it out if you'd like more info.

Here's a look at the other side, where I used more simple geometric pieces and lovely gold stitched detail...

Don't forget that subscriptions for these fabulous kits are now open for the July - December term, and now would be a perfect time to sign up and try these jam packed kits out for yourself!

Hi again :) I'm back with another project life spread from my 2015 album, this time using the gorgeous 'Hello Darling' Daily Diary kit from NoelMigon.com.

I love the way these kits are working in helping me document a random mix of photos that don't necessarily match each other but because the contents on the kit are all coordinated, it makes piecing everything together so much easier.

The large wood veneer card made the perfect focal point for my weekly title card and filling in the center of each heart with water colour pencils helped to tie it in with the other colours on the page.

I went with a clean fresh look for this page, keeping my embellishments to a minimum and used simple sticker and journal strips to help tell the story in each photo.

As always you can find more detail over in my original post on the Noel Mignon blog.

Subscriptions for the July- December term are now open, so now would be the perfect time to to try these jam packed kits out for yourself!

Hi :) I've got lots of project life to share on my blog starting with week 12 that I created using the gorgeous 'Courageous' Pocket Life Kit from Scrappy Canary.

I have really enjoyed trying out a few new techniques lately and was inspired by the gorgeous feathers from the February Embellishment kit to create a fun watercolour look for a few of my cards.

I went through the process of how I created these cards in my original post, but basically I ran a couple of sheets of water colour paper through my Cuttlebug using an Amy Tangerine 'Rise & Shine' embossing folder to create extra texture, then gathered some 'Mix & Match' Metallic Gelatos in the melon and mint colours along with champagne gold from the Gelatos Essentials - Gold & Silver pack.

I loved the beautiful shimmer the Gelatos added to my cards, and also used the same colours to add extra detail to the feathers from the kit.

You'll find these awesome kits along with all the other goodies in the Scrappy Canary store and don't forget to use the code 'AGNUS10' to save 10% off your total at the checkout.
