scrapz super sleuth...

The Scrapz Scrapbook Sleuth - try saying that fast ;) comp has been heaps of fun so far!
The task is to create a layout based on the sketch provided but you also have to do some detective work to find 5 common elements in the samples provided by the design team to create your page.

This was the page I created for our first challenge...

The 5 common elements for the first challenge were a white background, the word 'discover', a feather, a banner and a journalling card - which are fairly easy to spot once you know what you're looking for but when you have to find then for yourself it can be quite tricky!
The second challenge has bee revealed, but you'll need to stop by the forum to try and find the clues for yourself ;)
If you'd like to play along, it's not late to join in on the fun and go into the draw to win some awesome prizes!!!

Hi again :) I'm back with the rest of my layouts from the recent Do or Die Comp over at Scrapz.Biz.
I had a lot of fun creating this page of Cameron goofing around using October Afternoon's Woodland Park Collection from the store.
I'm loving feathers at the moment!

I experimented with some MFT chevron dies to create a gradient background for my next page.
I really like how it turned out and I added lots of bright colour using Echo Park's Everyday Eclectic Collection
that's my boys enjoying one of the fun rides at a local carnival :)

I created a very ''boy'' page for the next challenge with a mix of goodies from the store... you can get a full list of materials over in the forum

and lastly I created a Christmas page with some non traditional papers using a both Echo Park For the Record 2 Collections (love these!)
this one is all about the difficulty of trying to get at least one decent photo of the boys with the Christmas tree... and I've included a couple of 'out takes' from last year's efforts ;)

I also created a Step by Step Tutorial for November using wood veneers! You can see the full layout as well as my tutorial here.
Hope you've enjoyed these?
Thanks for stopping by xx

The challenge at Scrap the Boys this month is to create a layout using this colour combo...
and here's the page I came up with using some pics of my little guy who went through a phase when all he was interested in were his feet :)
I have to admit that I was a bit frightened of this combination at first but once I found some pics it all seemed to go together nicely... do you normally choose your pics first when you start a new page or do you get your page started and then find pics to match?
Be sure to come and check out what the rest of the team came up with using this combo, and don't forget to get your entries uploaded by the end of the month to go in the running for some great prizes!

do or die and a new comp...

The Scrapz.Biz Do or Die Competition was loads of fun and I have have plenty of layouts to share :)
Each challenge was based on a film, where we have had to use the movie cover as inspiration along with some set criteria.

I used the gorgeous Echo Park Everyday Eclectic collection to create my layout for the first challenge.

The next challenge was to scrap about something you dream about doing, and I used Crate Paper's Story Teller range to tell scrap my dreams of going back to Poland one day - that's a pic of me dressed up in the traditional Polish costume :)

I've been waiting to scrap this pic of Cayden for a long time and thought it would be perfect for a challenge related to weather... you can see all the details here.

and I went for a cowboy theme for the next challenge using a pic of my gumboot cowboy and October Afternoon Sasparilla Collection.
Here's some of the closeups..
Thanks for having a look through my layouts... I hope you've enjoyed them because I still have the next half to share ;)

If you're looking for a fun comp to play along with then be sure to come and check out the details for our brand new Scrapz Scrapbook Sleuth comp starting on Monday!
