Hi again, I've got just one more catch up post before the year comes to an end ;) this time to recap on the challenges I took part in for the Amazing Race Comp over at the Scrapbooking Top 50 Australia Forum!

It was a lot of fun and in no particular order, here are the countries I visited...
my layout for Holland featuring one of Chloe's cute Rainbow Splendour Pinwheels from the race kit.
I loved the challenge for Japan and featured some washi tape from D-Lish Scraps, a cute Rainbow Splendour mushroom, the spotty fabric flower is from Burdy's Handmade Embellies and the chevron badge is from Bit's and Pieces created by Marg.
next is my layout for the Africa challenge and I have used one of  Sue's Lovelybug Bit's n Bobs animal print buttons as well as some of my own {scrAp this!} fuzzy felt goodies.
moving onto Antarctica using a gorgeous icy coloured pin created by Ant from A little bit fANTsy! and another one of Vicki's spotty fabric flowers from Burdy's Handmade Embellies .
We also made a stop in Australia and I have used one of Donna's cute Ah Scrap Bottlecap from the kit and also added a cream and white lollipop flower from Charm's Creations.
I loved the trip to Canada and stamped onto one of the foam from A little bit fANTsy! as well as one of Marg's chevron badges from Bit's and Pieces created by Marg.
we had a quick detour along the way to send a letter home to our loved ones - using envelopes, stamps etc on our layouts. I added a paper blossom from Charm's Creations as well as a chevron badge from Bit's and Pieces created by Marg.
another detour, this time using a foreign word on our page - mine is Baba's which means Nana's in Polish and I have used a yellow page runner from Charm's Creations.
This was from the trip to Peru, where we need to use white washing,
distressing and at least one butterfly on the page.
and one more detour using maps and arrows to help you find your way home.
apart from taking part in the race, I also sponsored the trip to Brazil using one of my own {scrAp this!} fuzzy felt flags which were also in the race kit.
So there it is - finally all caught up with my blog ;)

We're getting ready to go and watch the local fireworks...
Happy New Year!!! I hope 2013 brings you lots of happiness :)

catching up with 2012...

Hi there :) I hope you've all had a lovely Christmas? With the new year just around the corner I thought it might be a good idea to catch up with a few layouts that I haven't had a chance to share yet. Firstly I've got a few layouts from the recent Scrapz Scrapbook Sleuth comp over at Scrapz Biz.
I don't regularly use such soft colours,
but loved the combination of Pink Paislee and Websters from the store.

I went bright for this page of my little cutie using Echo Park's So Happy Together collection

and another one of Cayden using a mix of goodies from the store...
you can get a full list of material over in the forum
I've also got a layout from a step by step tutorial I created for November where I experimented with different way of dressing up wood veneer shapes.
check out the forum for step by step instructions
and I also discovered a few layouts from quite a while ago that I didn't even realize I still hadn't shared... a few more challenge layouts from Scrapz.Biz this time with a Fun and Games theme starting with a game of 'bingo' for a Fetch a Sketch challenge.
I played 'dress ups' with a card for the Note Worthy challenge
another Fetch a Sketch challenge, this time with a 'hide & seek' theme
and a fun bright colour scheme for the Scrap a Rainbow 'Cards' challenge

Thanks for stopping by :)

The Scrapz Scrapbook Sleuth - try saying that fast ;) comp has been heaps of fun so far!
The task is to create a layout based on the sketch provided but you also have to do some detective work to find 5 common elements in the samples provided by the design team to create your page.

This was the page I created for our first challenge...

The 5 common elements for the first challenge were a white background, the word 'discover', a feather, a banner and a journalling card - which are fairly easy to spot once you know what you're looking for but when you have to find then for yourself it can be quite tricky!
The second challenge has bee revealed, but you'll need to stop by the forum to try and find the clues for yourself ;)
If you'd like to play along, it's not late to join in on the fun and go into the draw to win some awesome prizes!!!

Hi again :) I'm back with the rest of my layouts from the recent Do or Die Comp over at Scrapz.Biz.
I had a lot of fun creating this page of Cameron goofing around using October Afternoon's Woodland Park Collection from the store.
I'm loving feathers at the moment!

I experimented with some MFT chevron dies to create a gradient background for my next page.
I really like how it turned out and I added lots of bright colour using Echo Park's Everyday Eclectic Collection
that's my boys enjoying one of the fun rides at a local carnival :)

I created a very ''boy'' page for the next challenge with a mix of goodies from the store... you can get a full list of materials over in the forum

and lastly I created a Christmas page with some non traditional papers using a both Echo Park For the Record 2 Collections (love these!)
this one is all about the difficulty of trying to get at least one decent photo of the boys with the Christmas tree... and I've included a couple of 'out takes' from last year's efforts ;)

I also created a Step by Step Tutorial for November using wood veneers! You can see the full layout as well as my tutorial here.
Hope you've enjoyed these?
Thanks for stopping by xx
