Feeling lucky...

I've had a really good week, and am feeling pretty lucky! As you may know, I took part in the Who's layout is it anyway? challenges at Aussie Scrap Source last month, and I was thrilled to get this fabulous prize pack delivered this week! I am blown away by their generosity and can't wait to start using all of these gorgeous products!!! I was also the lucky winner of an awesome blog prize at Naomi's blog.... woohoo! I will admit I have been stalking her blog for a while now - her style really rocks!!! I've also had another one of my layouts accepted for publishing this week - which always feels great!
And much to my surprise, I was crowned this as month's Princess at A2S - which feels pretty fabulous and I'm sure I can get use to being called Princess Aga for a while :)

I leave you with my little card inspired by a sketch at the last LSBS cybercrop - thanks for stopping by... I hope you are having a great week too!!!

A bit of a catch up...

First up I'd like to congratulate all the talented ladies who have made it to the top 50 of the SM Masters this year - it's an awesome achievement and I can't wait to see every one's work when the mag hits the shelves. I am so happy for my blogging buddies that have made it through... I have my fingers crossed, and hope to see you all in the top ten!!!
As for me... I wasn't so lucky but I'm not surprised as I really didn't give myself enough time and just couldn't finish my projects to how I would have liked them, but I have learnt my lesson and will give it another go next year! Here is what I created for my single layout...
**** it seems some other magazines liked them though :)**** And for my double I created this - although I have changed the photo and added some things to get it looking more how I wanted... I will post my other projects once I get a chance to fix them up a bit :)Speaking of Scrapbooking Memories... I am happy to have this page I sent in so long ago finally published in the current issue. I used a plastic placemat as the base and love how it turned out.And here are a few other things I have been working on... I used an acrylic mirror instead of a photo... my intention was for my boys to look at their own reflections and see themselves the way that I see them to understand how much I love them.
I used products from one of this months $10 kits at Click n' Scrap to create these two pages
and you may remember this page, which was published in a previous issue of Scrapbook Creations where I found yet another use for the printed shower curtain I picked up at Freedom.
I guess that's it for today.... thanks for visiting and I look forward to your comments :)

Sandie's sketch challenge...

For something a bit different I completed this card using a sketch from Sandie's Blog, which is filled with heaps of inspiring ideas!
Earlier this week I bought a set of stamps from Sandie, which arrived in the mail today... and not only did I get the stamps, but Sandie also sent me a gorgeous card along with one of her adorable handmade daisies - yay!!! Luv it, and think it has added the perfect touch to my card. Be sure to check out Sandie's blog to find out how you can get some of these gorgeous little daisies of your very own!

Aussie Dares creative team...

I am very excited to share that I have been asked to join the How Dare You creative team at Aussie Dares!!! Rebecca has put together a fabulous team of artists who are sure to inspire with their mix of individual styles, and I am really looking forward to getting started on this new creative journey! This is my latest creation for the mixed media challenge at Blue Bazaar - the challenge this month was to use ephemera, which scared me a bit at first :) I have again gone for a tree inspired piece, this time using a printed shower curtain for the branches, and a collage of torn up receipts from which I cut the leaf shapes. I added a gel butterfly sticker and some gems and used a curved acrylic frame to hold it all together.

ASS challenge complete...

This marks the end of the Who's layout is it anyway? challenge at Aussie Scrap Source. I have really enjoyed taking part in these challenges, and while some of my layouts didn't turn out as well as others, I walk away from this challenge with the satisfaction of trying some new techniques, winning a few challenges, as well as having 13 layouts to show for my efforts - it's been a lot of fun :)I don't do many double pages, but I couldn't resist creating a soccer page for my little star Cameron, who scored 20 goals this season and had a great time playing with his new team.
A close up of the action shots...
for challenge 13 I created a page about my boys and their toys
Journalling reads - 'the biggest problem with their toys... is that one toy quickly turns into the entire collection'
Because there were only three of us who completed the final challenges, there will be no voting this week... we all win :) but you can sill check out the other fabulous entries here. Also a big thanks to everyone who has voted along the way... I really appreciate your support!
